                                                   THAILAND´S

Bangkok is Thailand's capital and its largest with a population of nearly 7 million inhabitants. Thanks to its growing economic development and its great importance as an international tourist destination, has become one of the most influential and modern cities in Southeast Asia.
Its location along the Chao Phraya River was historically counted with an extensive canal system, which caused him to be known as the Venice of the East or the Venice of the East. Another name determined to Bangkok at its foundation was the City of Angels.

KOH SAMUIKoh Samui is the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand (there are three inhabited: Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao) and the country's third largest. Despite this, Koh Samui is just over 200 km2, what would be a third of Menorca. It is feasible because flip on a motorcycle or car day visiting the main beaches. And that's exactly what I did.
WATERS FALLS IN KOH SAMUIKoh Samui is blessed with quite a few spectacular waterfalls; however there are only two that are easily accessed and having good facilities. They are Hin Lad and Namuang. The best time to see any of the falls on Koh Samui is during or just after the rainy season, approximately September to March. If not at these times, there may not be enough of a water flow to make the trip worthwhile.

HIANG MAI
hiang Mai literally means “new city” and has retained the name despite celebrating its 700th anniversary in 1996. King Meng Rai the Great founded the city as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom on Thursday, April 12 1296 around the same time as the establishment of the Sukhothai Kingdom.
Chiang Mai not only became the capital and cultural core of the Lanna Kingdom, it was also to be the center of Buddhism in northern Thailand. King Meng Rai himself was a very religious leader who even founded many of the city’s temples that remain important to this day
. This dichotomy is best appreciated within the moat-encircled old city, which retains much of the fortified wall that once protected the city center as well as the four main gates that provided access to the former Lanna capital city. Strangely, for many years tourists had mistaken Chiang Mai simply as the base from which they could plan trekking and rafting trips to hill tribe villages and explore other provinces. Once in Chiang Mai, however, tourists are surprised by the fact that there are so many things to discover other than its beautiful and historic temples.

PHANG NGA BAY
This famous landmark, called Koh Ta-pu ('Nail Island'), first found its way onto the international map through its starring role in the James Bond movie 'The Man With the Golden Gun'. And this is where most tours seem to take all of the tourists - all at the same time.

KOH PANNYE.
This is a remarkable village, the whole of it built out over water on stilts and with a giant rock monolith guarding its rear. At lunchtime, many tourists on the James Bond Island tours are brought in to eat and shop for handicrafts.

CRUISING
Phang Nga Bay is a great place for boating. The interesting limestone cliffs create a picturesque backdrop and there are many safe places to anchor.
The fact that it's protected from both the Northeast and the Southwest monsoon seasons means that its waters remain calm year-round, which adds to the appeal of its scenic wonders and abundant wildlife.

  1. Hello Julia,

Very interesting information on Thailand, but once again as I have been telling everyone, be sure to use your own words and don't copy/paste. I want to make sure you can describe in English. =)

    Ms. Julia =)
